Rogers Communication Canada Inc.
A .NET C# based web portal was developed for region-separated event management, activity tracking, social hub, and automated reporting for over 3000 Rogers TV staff and volunteers across Canada. Deep understanding of Rogers regional business operations and organization were required to create this customized solution.
2011 – 2015
Ran a West Nile Virus surveillance and control business serving two major Ontario regions. Utilizing real-time mapping and cloud based GIS techniques, I ensured water treatment application to 14,000 individual sites within one week. Hired, trained, and managed a team of ten technicians. This venture allowed me to fuse my science and GIS backgrounds into a trusted business that protected communities from the threat of West Nile Virus.
Cyberinfrastructure / Geospatial Data Systems Developer
MDA Systems Ltd / Wilfrid Laurier University Engagement
Developed a Python based autonomous geographic data gathering system to identify and predict anomalous events in the maritime domain (eg. vessel piracy). Harvested and analysed data was presented in a live and interactive web-based map interface.
